PITTSFIELD -- Jeannette Josephine Marie Charlebois, 89, formerly of 36 Oxford St., died yesterday morning at Greenbriar Terrace Healthcare in Nashua, N.H., where she had resided for one year.
Born in St. Marie De Bradford, Quebec, on March 19, 1910, daughter of Gideon and Eva Marie Pepin Deshaies, she attended schools in Canada and in New England. She came to the United States in 1912 and to Pittsfield in 1935.
A homemaker, she was a communicant of Notre-Dame Church. She was a member of its Ladies of St. Anne Society.
Her husband, Henry Arthur Charlebois, whom she married June 19, 1933, died Dec. 13, 1989.
She leaves two sons, J. Arthur Charlebois of Hyde Park, N.Y., and Paul R. Charlebois of West Peabody; two daughters, Adele Mendel of Nashua, and Elaine Billow of Hickory, N.C.; a sister, Hermance "Mitzi" Eulian of Hinsdale; 14 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren. A daughter, Rita Merlini, died in 1992.

SOUTH DEERFIELD - Rhoda Mary Charlebois, 86, of Sugarloaf Street, died Tuesday in Cooley Dickinson Hospital, Northampton. She was born March 2, 1894 in Funktown, Md., the daughter of Jacob L. and Amanda (Mummert) Kendall.
She was employed by the Northampton Cutlery, attended Maryland schools and lived in the South Deerfield area for 40 years. She was a member of the Sunderland Congregational Church and the Sunderland Grange.
Her husband, Edward Charlebois, died June 6, 1966.
Survivors include two daughters, Lillian M. Kurl of Jackson, Calif and Anna May Wilderson of Bel Air, Md.; two grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nepheps.
Private services will be at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Old Deerfield.
There are no calling hours.
McCarthy Funeral Home, Greenfield, is in charge of arrangements.

Funeral Mass for Rose Charlebois, 1701 E. Jefferson St., will be at 10 a.m. Monday in St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church, with the Rev. Leroy Kinnaman officiating. Friends may call at the church from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday. A Rosary and Scripture service will be at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. Burial will be Tuesday morning in All Saints Cemetery in Des Plaines, Ill. The Fenn Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
Mrs. Charlebois was dead on arrival at Howard Community Hospital late Friday afternoon, Nov. 26, 1976.
Born in Saint Anna, Wis., she was the dauughter of Simon and Julia (Kunz) Steffes. In 1922, she married Adolph Charlebois, who died in September of 1958.
She was a member of St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church and the Altar and Rosary Sodality of the church. She was formerly owner of the Town and Country Lumber Yard.
Surviving is a brother, Joseph Steffes of Silver Springs, Md; three sisters, Mrs. Olive Fox of Deerfield, Ill., Mrs. Philomene Hallisey of Riverside, Ill., and Sister Mary Berneta of Fond DuLac, Wis. One brother and one sister preceded her in death.

Shelton resident Margaret L. (Citarella) Charlebois, 73, died of natural causes at Mason General Hospital Sunday, May 28.
Born November 16, 1915 in Riverside, California, Mrs. Charlebois grew up there, On October 20, 1929, she married Louis J. Charlebois in Wickenburg, Arizona. The couple lived in Blythe, California, until 1967.
Her husband died in 1972 and Mrs. Charlebois resided in Riverside until 1988 when she moved to Shelton to live with her daughter, Joyce Honnen.
Surviving Mrs. Charlebois are her son, Louis Charlebois of Flagstaff, Arizona; a daughter, Mrs. Archer (Joyce) Honnen of Shelton; four sisters, Phyllis Aspittle, Lucille Aspittle and LaVern Hennessey, all of Riverside, and Janette Laghezza of Blythe; four grandchildren, Marissa Falvin of Laughlin, Nevada, Margaret Honnen and Archer Honnen Jr., both of Shelton, and Audra Charlebois of Flagstaff; and two great-grandchildren, Holly Flavin of Laughlin and Resa Honnen of Tacoma.
Graveside services are planned for 2 p.m. today, June 1, at Olivewood Cemetery in Riverside, California. A Roman Catholic priest will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of McComb and Batstone Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Joseph P. Charlebois, 65, who died suddenly Thursday, will be held at St. Joseph's Catholic Church where requiem mass will be offered at 9 a.m. Monday with Father Edmund Hyland officiating.
Concluding services and interment will follow in the Catholic Cemetery.
Recitation of the rosary will be at St. Joseph's Church at 7:30 p.m. Saturday. Arrangements are in care of the Long and Orr Mortuary.
He was born at St. Marthe, Quebec, Canada, March 12, 1887. He was married to Mary Ethel Maher, at Montreal on Jan. 29, 1910. He had made his home at Laguna Beach, Calif., until recently.
He was a member of the Catholic Church. Surviving are his widow, Mary Ethel of Melrose; three daughters, Mrs. Mary Evelyn Ludlow, Laguna Beach; Miss Dorothy Charlebois, Melrose; and Mrs. Lorine Fink, Umpqua; two sons, Paul R., Montreal, and Robert E., U.S. Navy.
He is also survived by two brothers, Pol Charlebois, Montreal, and Dollard Charlebois, Regnad, Quebec, Canada; a sister, Miss Aimee Charlebois, Montreal, and five grandchildren.

CORNWALL - Cedelia M. Charlebois, 65, died Monday morning, March 28 at Porter Medical Center in Middlebury.
Mrs. Charlebois was born Aug. 20, 1917, in Field, Ontario, daughter of Arthur and Marie (DuBuc) Cousineau.
She attended school in East Middlebury, graduating from Middlebury High School and the Bishop DeGoesbriand Nursing School in 1945.
She married Lucien Charlebois on June 30, 1946 in Middlebury.
Survivors, besides her husband of Cornwall include a daughter, Mrs. Vaughn (Marie) Berno of Cornwall; a son, Leon Charlebois of Middlebury; five brothers, Richard Cousineau of Rochester N.H., Osias Cousineau of Middlebury, Paul Cousineau of Brocktown, Pa., and Ector Cousineau of Goshen; two sisters, Cecile Preseau of Sudbury and Mrs. Marceau (Catherine) Latour of Orwell; a grandaughter; several nieces and nephews. Two brothers Normand Cousineau and George Cousineau, died previously.
A funeral mass was held Wednesday at 11 am in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Middlebury. Burial will be at a later date in the South Cornwall Cemtery.

JOAN PUTZ
Joan E. Putz, 68, Menomonee Falls, a former Wausau resident, died Friday, April 26, 2002, at her home.
Joan had worked for Kohl's Distribution Center in Menomonee Falls.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas Putz, Menomonee Falls; two sons, David Charlebois, Sussex, and Scott (Susan) Putz, Menomenee Falls; one daughter, Cheryl (David) Koenig; three grandchildren; two sisters, Betty (Hugh) Foster, Lynchburg, Va., and Lois (DuWayne) Erdmann, Wausau; and two brothers, Warner (Ruth) Christian, Green Bay, and Dennis (Martha) Christian, Nashville, Tenn.
Services were held April 29 at Schmidt and Bartelt Funeral Home, Menomonee Falls.

On July 12, 1996 DONALD ROBERT CHARLEBOIS, beloved husband of Helen Charlebois (nee Smith), devoted father of Dorothy Burger and Mark, Amy and Donald Charlebois, dear brother of Paul and John Charlebois, Corrine Johnson and Judith Butler. Also survived by several grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at the Ruck Towson Funeral Home, Inc., 1050 York road (beltway exit 26A) on Monday at 9 A.M. Interment private. The family will receive friends on Sunday 6 to 8 P.M.
