City Woman Dies at 80
Mrs. Pearl J. Kring Charlebois, 80, of the Reilly’s Adult home, 314 Stone street, widow of Frank L. Charlebois, died at 5:45 this morning in the Mercy Hospital, where she had been a patient since June 7.
Mrs. Charlebois fractured her left hip June 7 in a fall at the adult home, where she had been a patient since January, 1963, and was removed to the hospital, where she underwent surgery on the hip. A second operation on the hip was performed July 17.
Surviving her are six children, Mrs. Margaret L. Robey, Burdick block, 114 Franklin street, Mrs. Theodore (Blanche I.) Lawrence, Saranac Lake, Mrs. Paul F. (Viola) Strader, Solar building, 206 Franklin street, Mrs. Edward (Wilma) Honsinger, Rochester, Mrs. Fred (Genevieve) Folk, Elmira, and Clifton E. Charlebois, 1049 Huntington street; a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren and a sister, Mrs. Emma Mitchell, 114 Franklin street.
Her husband died March 8, 1958 in Theresa at the age of 75.
Mrs. Charlebois was born at Natural Bridge March 28, 1888, a daughter of George and Mary Wells Kring. In early life she lived there and at Harrisville. She was married to Frank L. Charlebois of Clayton at Alexandria Bay July 4, 1904.
Mr. And Mrs. Charlebois lived at Orleans Corners and Theresa, moving to this city about 1921. Later, she moved to Elmira, where she lived 15 years, returning to Watertown about eight years ago.
She was a member of St. Patrick’s church.
The funeral will be Saturday morning at 9:30 from the Hart funeral home and at 10 in St. Patrick’s church. Burial will be in North Watertown cemetery.
Friends may call at the funeral hope tonight from 7 to 9 and Friday from 2 and 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

F. L. CHARLEBOIS EXPIRES, AGED 75
Theresa, March 10, - Frank L. Charlebois, 75, died suddenly at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at the Gilpin Adult home where he had lived the past year. He had been suffering from a slight heart condition but had been in his usual health until he was stricken and his death was unexpected.
The funeral will be Tuesday at 1 p.m. at the Frederick Brothers funeral home, with Rev. Claude T. Corbett, pastor of the Theresa Methodist church, officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood cemetery.
Surviving Mr. Charlebois are his wife, Mrs. Pearl Charlebois of Elmira; six children: Mrs. Samuel (Margaret) Robey, 205 Court street, Watertown; Mrs. Theodore (Blanche) Lawrence, Minerva; Mrs. Paul (Viola) Strader, 537 Gotham street; Watertown; Mrs. Edward (Wilma) Honsinger, Rochester; Mrs. Fred (Genevieve) Folk, Elmira; Clifton Charlebois, 1049 Huntington street, Watertown; a sister, Mrs. George (Alice), Miriam, Watertown; a brother, George Charlebois, LaFargeville; and grandchildren.
Mr. Charlebois was born at Clayton, Oct. 8, 1882, one of five children of Frank L. and Rose LaLonde Charlebois. He spent his early life and was educated in the schools at Clayton. He married Pearl Kring at Alexandria Bay on July 4, 1904.
After his marriage, Mr. Charlebois was employed in the Orleans-Theresa area pressing hay. Later he worked as a construction laborer.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, John V. Evans, in 1969; brothers and sisters.
Surviving are her husband, Robert D. Harrison, to whom she was married 28 years; a son, Eugene V. Robert D. Harrison, 85, of 536 S. Mill St., Saint Clair, died Saturday at home.
Born in Saint Clair, he was a son of the late Paul and Emma Stein Harrison.
He was employed at Gilberton Coal Co. and the former Aetna Steel, Pottsville.
He was a member of St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Saint Clair, Saint Clair Oldtimers Baseball Association, Saint Clair Fish and Game and Took-A-Shot-Gun Club, Morris.
Preceding him in death were his first wife, the former Helen Schurr, in 1966; his second wife, the former Regina M. Charlebois, in 1997; three sisters, Elizabeth Harrison, Mary Bolton and Cassie Daniels.
Surviving are two sons, Robert J., Saint Clair, and Daniel T., Pottsville; a sister, Eileen Welkie, Saint Clair; four granddaughters; a great-granddaughter; nieces and nephews.

CHARLEBOIS, JESSE D. Feb. 16, 1960 to January 7, 2003 Police Officer Jesse D. Charlebois was born in Minot, North Dakota. Graduated from The University of North Dakota in 1982, immediately moving to San Diego to pursue his dream of entering the Police Academy. Jesse was hired by the San Diego Police Department in August 1982, and was assigned as a patrol officer working Mid- City Division. Jesse also attended Law School at the Thomas Jefferson School of Law. In 1984, Jesse married Cynthia Whalen and they made their home in Santee, Calif. Together they have three children: Jessica (17), Stephanie (13) and Matthew (11). Jesse took pride and participated in coaching their teams in basketball, baseball and softball. Jesse had a zest for life and enjoyed his family, friends, sports and working as a Police Officer. He remained very close with all his friends locally and out of state. NEW BEDFORD -- Henry H. Hebert, 92, formerly of Fairhaven, died Sunday, Dec. 22, 1996, at the New Bedford Jewish Convalescent Home. He was the son of the late Hormidas and Eva (Charlebois) Hebert.
Born in New Bedford, he lived in the area most of his life.
Mr. Hebert was employed as a machinist at the Continental Screw Co. from 1951 to 1971. He was also a former brewer and was an active member of the Veteran Tavern on Kenyon Street and a member of the executive committee of the Golden Raiders Drum and Bugle Corps.
He enjoyed fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include three daughters, Carol M. Sumner of Lakeville, Shirley A. Lopes of Fairhaven and Sheila D. Lopes of New Bedford; six grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren.
He also was the brother of the late Wilfred Hebert, Noel Hebert, Ida Duval and Lawrence Hebert.
Arrangements are by the Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park St.
One of Mr. Hebert's late brothers was omitted in Wednesday's paper.

Gilbert A. "Gib" Beauleau, Jr., 62, Green Bay, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2001 at a local hospital. He was born May 23, 1939, in Oconto Falls, to Gilbert Beauleau and the late Magdalen (Kiefert) Beauleau. Gib served his country in the U.S. Marine Corps for four years. He was married for over 39 years to Janet Ann Charlebois. Throughout his life he worked at several companies including Northwest Engineering, Lindquist Machine Corp., and J & W Enterprises. Gib enjoyed working on radios and old clocks. He also enjoyed fishing, hunting and bowling. Gib had a great love for people, especially his family.
Survivors include his wife, Janet; three sons and one daughter-in-law, David Beauleau, Donald and Tammy Beauleau, Steve Beauleau, all of Green Bay, one daughter and son-in-law Terri and Jim Berken, Green Bay; three grandchildren Derek, Stephanie, and Tia Glenn Beauleau, all of Green Bay; his father Gilbert Beauleau Sr., Oconto Falls; two sisters, Yvonne Poirier, Green Bay; and Judy Sagen, Lena. He was preceded in death by his mother, Magdalen Beauleau.
Friends may call at Blaney Funeral Home, 1521 Shawano Ave. from 4 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. John VanDeuren officiating.

JAMES A. CHARLEBOIS, 76, DIES IN LOWVILLE
James A. Charlebois, 76, of 810 Flyn Road, Rochester, died this morning in Lewis County General Hospital.
A graveside service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at St. Lawrence Union Cemetery, Cape Vincent, the Rev. James Lewis officiating.
There are no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Virkler Percoski-Miller Funeral Home. Contributions may be made to the Greece Ambulance Corps., Long Pond Road, Rochester, N.Y. 14612. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. Georgianna Morgan, Pennellville; a sister-in-law, Mrs. Evelyn Charlebois, LaFargeville, and several nieces, nephews and cousins. A brother, Earl Charlebois, and a sister, Mrs. Edna Elk Harris, died before him. He was born Dec. 29, 1917, in Clayton, the son of Edward and Annetta Reed Charlebois, and graduated from John Marshall High School in Rochester. He was the owner and operator of Croyden Industries in Rochester for several years, retiring in 1979. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge in Rochester.

DOROTHY F. LEVISON CHARLEBOIS DIES AT 94
Dorothy F. Levison Charlebois, 94, Rochester, formerly of Norwood, died Friday in Rochester General Hospital, where she had been a patient for a few days.
A funeral Mass was scheduled for 9:30 a.m. today in St. Mark's Church, Rochester. Burial will be at 11 a.m. today in Calvary Cemetery.
Arrangements are with Vay-Schleich & Meeson Funeral Home Inc., Rochester. Donations may be made to the Arthritis Foundation. Surviving are two sons, Kenneth O., Florida, and Paul F., Rochester; a daughter, Mrs. Harlow H. (Ruth M.) Mallett, Rochester; a sister, Irene Wilbur, Norwood; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Born Aug. 13, 1900, in Toledo, Ohio, a daughter of of Frederick and Emma Brassard Levison. She married Eugene J. Charlebois May 22, 1919, in St. Andrew's Church, Norwood. Mr. Charlebois died Feb. 7, 1943. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Charlebois was a member of the Catholic Daughters of America in Norwood.

PAUL E. CHARLEBOIS DAIRY FARMER
Paul E. Charlebois, 85, Route 11, died Monday evening at his home, where he was under the care of Hospice of the North Country.
Mr. Charlebois had owned and operated a dairy farm all his adult life.
Born Nov. 10, 1914, in Chrysler, Ontario, son of Emile and Helaria Leroulx Charlebois, he attended school in Chrysler. He came to the United States in 1956 and was employed in the construction of the St. Lawrence Seaway and at General Motors, Massena. He married Margueritte Gareau on April 7, 1942. Mr. Charlebois was a member of St. Mary's Church, Brushton. Surviving besides his wife are four sons and three daughters-in-law, Jacques and Beverly, Brasher Falls, Richard and Lois and Robert and Terry, all of Brushton, and Daniel, New Jersey; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Diane and Arnold Mainville, Fort Covington, Pierrette White, Moira, and Gisele and Joseph Dufort, Malone; five brothers, Maurice, Ferdinand, Euclid, Armand and Lawrence, all of the province of Ontario; four sisters, Lornette Boisneau, Yvette Prudhonmne, Claudette LaRocque and Blanche Charlebois, all of Ontario; 12 grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren. Richard J. Charlebois, 36, Patrician Lane, died at 8:05 p.m. Tuesday at his home, where he had been under the care of Hospice of Jefferson County. He had been ill with cancer.
Born March 2, 1966, in Watertown, son of Paul and Eileen Prentice Charlebois, he graduated in 1984 from General Brown Central School, Dexter.
He married Scarlet L. Shawcross on Aug 29, 1992, at Immaculate Conception Church with Monsignor Robert Lawler officiating. The couple lived in Watertown and moved to Brownville five years ago. Mr. Charlebois was a partner in Benefit Services Group, Watertown. He entered the insurance business in 1988 with Metropolitan Life & Annuities, Massena. In 1992, he went to work for Hill & Associates of Syracuse as a financial adviser. He also worked at the Howland-LaClair Division of Haylor, Freyer & Coon Inc., Watertown. He was an avid hunter and fisherman. Surviving besides his wife are two sons, Ryan D. and Griffin P., and a daughter, Anna E., all at home; his father, of Rochester; his maternal grandmother, Laura Prentice, Massena, and several aunts, uncles and cousins. His mother, Eileen Baxter, died June 15, 1989. A prayer service will be at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at Johnson Funeral Home, Dexter. HANNAH J. CHARLEBOIS, 67, DIES
Hannah J. Charlebois, 67, of 1049 Huntington St., died at 11:42 p.m. Wednesday at the House of the Good Samaritan, where she was admitted March 21.
The funeral will be Friday at the convenience of the family. Burial will be in North Watertown Cemetery.
There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Reed & Benoit Funeral Home. She is survived by her husband, Clifton E.; two sons, Clifton E. Jr., Watertown, and Lamont E., Middletown, Conn.; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, and a brother, Keith Curry, Tupper Lake. Born Feb. 17, 1925, in Watertown, daughter of Raymond and Flora Helmer Curry, she was educated in Watertown schools and married Clifton E. Charlebois on Aug. 9, 1941, in Dexter, with Justice William Burlingham officiating. Mrs. Charlebois was a clerk at the former Whalen's Drug Store, Paddock Arcade, from the 1960s to the early 1970s.
