Thanks for the info. I will try to dig a little deeper on some of these families when I can get to the Bay County court house.
If your dad is about 47-48, I grew up in the same neighborhood on the west side of Bay City in the early 1960s.

Elizabeth was the daughter of Eustache Jr and Elmire Clement. She shows up in the 1870 Bay City census as age 4 and living with her widowed mother. Any other info that you have on Elizabeth, her husband, and their children would be greatly appreciated. Any relation to Mark Larive?

I have an Elizabeth Woods in my family tree. From marriage records of her children it looks as though she changed her name for Charlebois to Woods. Other info on her that I have is that she was born in Canada about 1865 and left there about 1867 (I assume with her parents) to Bay City, MI. About 1882 she married Robert J. Proulx. Their children were Oscar, Elizabeth, Blanche, Mabel, Ruth, Agnes, and Robert, Jr. I thought that this may be a daughter of Eustache Charlebois. I have never looked up Elizabeth Proulx's death record yet. I believe she died in Bay City, and I did write down an Elizabeth Proulx in the death index for Book F pg. 121. I did not look it up. I know she preceded her husband in death. He died July 21, 1935 in Bay City. He was my great-great uncle. If you have any more questions just ask.

I am saddened to learn that we all lost a cousin in the recent terrorists attacks. According to imformation recently released by American Airlines, David Charlebois was first officer on flight 77 which hit the Pentagon.

While I don't currently know David's ancestry, I would like to include him in my Charlebois file. Can someone who knew David tell me who his parents/grandparents were?

Thanks Louis
This sounds like it could be a valuable asset. Are society members allowed to purchase the CD or is it only for use while at the society library?
Do you know any websites where I can find out more about this? Thanks

I knew your Grand-parents Charles Charlebois and Lucia Scantland and their 8 sons and 2 daughters. I am writing to you directly. It should not be difficult to trace your family lineage using BMS 2000.
Re: previous thread, Elizabeth Woods/Charlebois:
Can you tell me who this Eustache Charlebois' father & GF were? If Arsene Charlebois and Marguerite Biard/Biore of St.Benoit, Quebec appear in the tree, I would be very interested in connecting privately. I am a descendant of their son Olivier.

Yes we are cousins. Ella was my Great Great Aunt. Her sister Clarice Villeneuve Galarneau who died in 1914 was the mother of my grandmother Cecelia. Cecelia lived with Ella and Ned on Beaconsfield St., in Detroit and there met my grandfather. My mother was born in their house. Their other son was Richard A. Charlebois, who I am also looking for. I know he had a daughter named Marilyn. I am trying to find the Villeneuve family, Ella's mother and fathers names and where they were born, died etc. Do you by chance have any of that info. What a thrill to finally after all these years meet a family member. Where do you live? I'm in California.

Apparently I am a cousin of yours! Napoleon Charlebois and Ella Villneuve had 2 sons (that grew up). One of them was my grandfather: Theodore Joseph Arthur Charlebois. He married Ludmilla Elizabeth Mesko and had two boys; my father Theodore Adolph Charlebois and Ed (Middle name?) Charlebois. My father married Joy Jennie Jennings and had 4 children: Chera Lynn, Cynthia Dawn (me), Charles Richard and Brenda Lee. I don't know what happened to the other son of Napoleon. Maybe you can help me with that.

My Greatgrandfather was Henry Charlebois. He settled in the Hardwood, MI / Foster City, MI area. I'm looking for any parental info. I believe he's from the Quebec. Any info or family members would be appreciated, as I'm a newcomer to genealogy (less than a year).
Thanks!
