Hi
If you want them all , then my father's parents came to Canada from
England , London I think , as ther is a David Charity in London . My
father used to write to him , but being young , at the time , I wasn't
interested . I have a brother , Ron , who is not yet on the net , and he
lives in Quebec . Of the 2 or 3 million people in Toronto , there are only
a handfull of Charitys , perhaps 3 or 4 in the white pages ...... We
suspect that the name originally crossed over from France , during one of
the wars between England and France . That means it could have been
spelled Cherite (shereetay), but who knows ..... There is one in Alaska ,
as I had a phone call one night from there , asking about the name ... It
would be interesting to see a tree , if you have one set up .... Thanks
Don Charity

The Micajah and Walker Charity families 3 pages each covering the first
3 generations of their families. My family which is Austin Charity has 9
pages . That is because I have added my information to the information
that was in the book. I will forward the information on these families
later.
Linda
Hi Cousins, I have had several inquires regarding the Charity book, It
is my understanding (from Jim Charity) that there were several copies
left. This book was self-published around 1991. Edna called family
members and asked who would be interested in purchasing one. The cost
then was around $45.00. Edna is deceased. Maybe someone else on the list
has information on how to obtain a copy.
Christine had asked me to send information from the book to this mailing
list. I have entered the first 3 generations of the family into my
Ultimate Family Tree database. If printed, it takes up 13 pages already.
I am looking for suggestions as to how I can forward this to the mailing
list. If I scan it I think it will come through as an attachment and
most mailing lists don't like attachments. Also, if I scanned it, it
would be in Descendancy Chart order and some of you might have a problem
understanding it.
Let me know what you think or contact me, Christine or the list with any
suggestions that you might have.
Linda
