Beginning March 2nd, 2020 the Mailing Lists functionality on RootsWeb will be discontinued. Users will no longer be able to send outgoing emails or accept incoming emails. Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.
Administrators may save the emails in their list prior to March 2nd. After that, mailing list archives will remain available and searchable on RootsWeb

Hi,
I wonder if you might be able to help me trace a George Chapple. I think he was born in 1824/6, in either Lutton, Cornwood or Denbury (South Devon).
I think he married twice,1st wife Maria Angel and then Susanna Grant.

Hello to you,not one to jump on the band wagon of sorts but we are chapples by name.We also have a marrigage cert for a John Chapple and Mary Huxtable,which is I belive is at south Molton Dated as the 4 December 1803.Our family connect is via Joseph Chapple who was John son born 27/01/1805,and once again we also have the parish records copy to that effect,which is then a direct line down to present day.We are like wised stuck at the period of John and forward at this date.Regards Harold

Here is a recent estate find. This is a Huge Rare Antique Illustrated Leather Holy Bible Family Bible dated 1869, complete with Family History, and Tintype Family Photos. This Has an Ornate Hand Tooled Leather Cover with Gold Gilted Lettering and Designs, with Bronze Clasp, in Stunning. It measures approx. 12" x 10" x 3 1/5", and weighs approx. 9 pounds. The Binding is tight, and pages clean. This Bible has Rare Tintypes and Other Photos and History from the "Chapple" family, from Little Rock Arkansas USA. The title page reads:
