Hi Jann
I have Chapple family at St Austell/St Ewe in Cornwall. Maria Chapple wife
of William Dallley Harris arrived in NSW in 1877
with her family. Her father was Joseph Chapple. As yet have not located
where Joseph was from but was not St Austell.
Chapples are present at St Ewe nearby for hundreds of years but found no
matching Joseph yet. Joseph died before the 1851 census
making finding where he was born/baptised difficult.
regards
Michael

Subject: [Chapple] re Chapples in Cornwall
Hi Michael and everyone,
Our Parkes family comes from a 1867 marriage of MARY CHAPPLE and a Henry
Parkes (Convict 1839 NSW)
I have found Mary born in 1831 in Helston Cornwall and have traced the
family through census records and Cornwall Parish records.
Her family is Richard and Ann (Nancy ) Chapple living in Meneage Street for
most of 1800s.
At present I can't find out how or why Mary came out to NSW but she does
have several children before marrying Henry Parkes on 1867 in the Bathurst
area of NSW.
Anyone related to or interested in sharing information with us would be
wonderful!
Kind regards
Jann Sutton Parkes

Chapples appear as sister-in-law and brother-in-law with Charles and Shirley (Isaac is listed on the last page of the census as an addition). Wondering who Shirley was to get maiden name to go with Coral's since Isaac didn't (so far) have a sister named Shirley. Thanks.
[1920 Peru, Miami, Indiana, (e.d. 158, sheet 8A, stamped page 212), though Isaac appears as an addition at the end of the census (stamped page 216)]
