Looking for any info on a Charles Frederick Chapple bron around 1890? who married Ruth Marion Grinnel from Easton, MA. Charles was originally from Canada. They had one daughter Iona Ruth. I have no more info other than speculation that he went to prison and may have died there. He and Ruth divorced and she later remarried. Any info anyone might have would be greatly appreciated.

I think it may be the other way round. Capel is an old East Anglian name from the French for a chapel or church. As far as I know it has become corrupted over the years as all names do and, having found no other origin for Capewell, assume that this too is a corruption. Would like to hear from anyone who has more info.
