I'm searching for further information about Thomas George Chapple, b. abt. 1829 in Rotherhithe, England (London/Surrey). Also his family; wife Elizabeth (Betsy) Shrewsbury, and children Elizabeth Mary, Emma Matilda, George James, Thomas George (jr), Susannah, and Rei.
I believe the family emigrated to Canada (Ontario) in abt. 1873.
I have a lot of information about them, including birth certs. for all the children except Rei, and information about Thomas' first wife (also Betsy, coincidentally) and their three children.
Elizabeth was my great-great-grandmother; her sister Emma is buried next to her. I know other people out there are looking at what appears to be the same family; please contact me so we can exchange information!

Pamela : Your ggg uncle William (Billy) Chapple came to America with my ggg parents Walter and Elizabeth (Foote) Dawe and their family from Meavy, Devon in the late 1840's. After spending several years in N.Y. and Virginia they all settled in close proximity to each other in the late 1850's just west of Troy, Doniphan Cty, Ks.They were related by marriage. I am in the process of compiling and writing my pioneer family's history. Perhaps we can be of assistance to each other ! The Chapple farm is still owned by the Chapple family. Best regards, Charles (Chuck) Decker
