Patsy --
Can you please tell me more about this Eugene P. Chapel. My grandmother was Effie Tylene Chappell born in 1896 in KY. Her father was Eugene Chappell. She married Charles Weaver Lowery also of KY.
I have very little information on my grandmother's side of the family. Anything you can add will be appreciated.
Thanks in advance.

original print by Eugene P Chapel 1915. He was born 1859.
There were it appears, three brothers, who emigraded from England to Massachusetts Bay about 1634 & 1635 Viz., "Nathaniel" "George" and "William" all settled in New England; where they died. " Nathaniel"remained at Boston, and is found there from May 22 1639 in the employment of Mr. Atherton Hough, Admr., while "George and "William" are soon found in the "Connecticut Coloney" where the first English settlements were established at Windsor, and Wethersfield on the Connecticut Ricer about 1633.
The name has been subjected to varioous changes, by different branches of the family, during the past 275 years, viz., DeLaChappelle, Chapple, Chapell, Chappel, Chapelle, DeLaChapell, Chapel, Chappell, DeLachapel. I goes on to say much more. As for where some of the earlier family settled. Their descendants pushed on farther West, locating in Michigan, Indiana, Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Nebraska, Kansas, and Colorado and are now found in nearly every state of the union.(per Eugene P Chapel) it goes on to list all the decadents of William I believe.
I am looking for information on my great grand mother Mary LaChapple. She was born 23 March 1870 in Franklin County, New York (I believe). She was married to Zepher Pepper (1868-1932). They had 10 children Edward, Floyd Joseph, Victor, Eva, Dorothy, Stella, Joe, Hazel, Mary, and Blanche. Her parents were Charles LaChapple (1844-1929) and Maria Anastacia Sylvain (1842-1922). Any information you can provide would be appreciated, Thank you, Renee Thurmond

I have an extensive database of UK CHAPPLEs. If you have any idea of dates when they were in England let me know and I'll check what I have.

Hello Patsy. Do you know have any locations and dates for your Chappel line? Do you know when and where they emmigrated from in England? You are correct in looking at the Chapple variation of the spelling as the other variations are all ones prevelent in the Chapple family. The spelling of the surname changed most likely with the level of literacy of the registrar. Phonetics is resonsible for many diverse variations of the same name. Even though my direct line back to the early 1800's (at least) has been using the "apple" version as little ago as the 1881 English census my gggf was called Chappell.

I've been searching for a Charles Henry Chappell for ever. He was called Harry. He had 2 sons. Jay Frank and Charles Henry. Let me know if this sounds like your family. I've been searching Chapel, Chappel and Chappell this is the first time for Chapple. I have some dates for the older Charles but no wifes or dates for the sons. I have everything back from the older Charles. Hope I made a connection.

Thank you so much for the information regarding Albert and Priscilla. Are you related to our family? If yes, how?
Our Priscilla did marry after Albert died and she married Frank Tovey and then divorced him.
Where did you find the proof of Albert's death and the date of Priscilla's second marriage? I have looked for years for this info.
