His father Chapple, Albert married Priscilla Reynolds about 1890 and had 3 children: Flossie, Alfred and Rose.
Need the death date, marriage date and place for Albert and Priscilla. Albert was born in New York and Priscilla was born in England. Both died in CA.
Any connections?

Yes, I've got the immigration date at June 1865, in the port of New York, from the notes of my great uncle Clyde Ambrose. I do not know the birth dates of Thomas or Mary, but will try and dig them up. I believe that will be a match for Elizabeth Cockram, But I don't think her parents would have been John Chapple and Elizabeth ???. (or did I missunderstand?)
Is there a website that I could check the Ellis Island records?
Thanks for your help
Sid

I looked at the pictures and they would predate anything that I have available to me. But in looking at free BMD on rootsweb.com you can locate William Chapple and Elizabeth Cockram's marriage in South Molton, Devonshire in 1854. As well on familysearch.com there is an Elizabeth Cockram that was christened February 3, 1828 in Molland, Devonshire with the parents being John Chapple and Elizabeth ???. Although it isn't a guarantee with the birth only the previous Jan 17th it might be a match for you. If you had or could get a copy of their marriage certificate it would at least give you conclusively their parents names. Good hunting and if you are able to get the name of William's father please post it. Do you know the whereabouts of the birth of Thomas and Mary. Were they younger or older than Emma. Do you know when they emmigrated from England and if not you could chech the Ellis Island Records.

Good Day Sid,
Could you be a bit more specific about the geographic area of interest in you Chapple Branch? It seems in my nosing around that there are three main areas that the Chapple's came from, Plymouth, Cornwall and most populously the Devonshire district. Compliments of another reader of this board I have now been able to take my family lineage back even further and have come in contact with two gentlemen who are more than happy to share information. The names you mention are recurring in my/our family ancestry but the dates are unknown. Given the times involved and the habit of naming children after Royalty the names may be coincidental or they may not be. Any more information would be appreciated.

Looking for information on William Chapple born 12 Dec 1830, England. Married Elizabeth Cockram (born 17 Jan 1828) on 10 Apr 1854 in England. Had a daughter Emma Elizabeth who married Byron Ambrose. Any information on William would be greatly appreciated. I believe his father's name was Edward, but cannot confirm. Also I have some old tin type photos believed to be of the Chapple line that were not identified by the previous owner before he passed away (my great Uncle) Thank you. Sid
