I'm looking for any descendents of Samuel and Diana Chappell. Their children were Ida, Margaret, Elmer and William. William was my great-grandfather.
Samuel and Diana are buried in Guffy's Cemetery near Sutersville, PA.
Elmer was a sailor and according to family legend "went to sea and never came back home".
Ida's married name was Landers.
Margaret's married name was Shinton.
Would love to hear from any descendents.
Susan Hutton

My 2nd great grandfather, Henry Sydney Webster was born to William Roebuck Webster (labourer) and who I thought was Sarah Ann Chappell, on Park Street in Worksop, England. This made sense as Henry's oldest brother was named William Chappell Webster and in the 1851 census, Sarah Ann's parents (William and Charlotte Chappell) are living down the street. In the 1841 census, they are neighbours. However, when I ordered Henry Sydney's birth certificate, it says Sarah Ann's last name was "formerly Jackson." All of Henry's siblings' birth records say Jackson as well. I can't imagine, with all of the Chappell ties, that Sarah Ann was born a Jackson. I'm trying to find if Sarah Ann married a Jackson prior to 1841 and was widowed?
So far I have no record of William R Webster marrying Sarah Ann Chappell, and I've found one possibility for William Webster marrying Sarah Ann Jackson. But then I have not found Sarah Ann Chappell marrying a Mr. Jackson before that...
Any information would be appreciated. All trees I can find on Ancestry don't acknowledge the fact that Sarah Ann's name was Jackson before she married William R Webster.
Thanks. This has turned out to be quite the mystery as the birth cert of Henry Sydney definitely threw me a curve ball!

I'm hoping to find information on Bernard L. Chappell from Atlanta, GA. He was married to my great-grandmother (Julia Cox Stipe)and was the man who raised my grandfather. He was a somewhat well-known attorney in Atlanta with cases that were featured in the main newspaper. However, he "vanishes" from the census record in 1930.
His WWI draft registration lists his place of birth as Georgia, and the census from 1920 show both of his parents being from GA also.
I would greatly appreciate any help!!
Thanks,
