Mrs. Edna Sivyer, 60, died at her home in Minneapolis, Sunday evening. She had not been in good health for several years, but her last illness was of short duration. Coronary occlusion was the cause of her death. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. Geo. C. Stewart of the Baptist church, at the R.S. Todd Funeral Home, Tuesday afternoon, July 14. Burial was in Highland cemetery.
Edna Chappell was born March 6, 1882, in Minneapolis. She was the youngest daughter of William and Rosaltha Chappell. She spent most of her life in or near Minneapolis.
She married Edwin W. Van Meter, Dec. 7, 1904, and they lived on a farm near Ada until his death July 26, 1908. The next five years she made her home with her sister, Mrs. R.D. Collister and family.
On October 3, 1913, she married William H. Sivyer, and they spent the first year of their married life in Salt Lake City, Utah. They returned to Minneapolis and made this their home . Mr. Sivyer died Sept. 23, 1941, after a short illness. Since that time Mrs. Sivyer resided in the home at 428 E. 2nd. St., until her death July 12, 1942.
Mrs. Sivyer is survived by two nephews, William H. Collister of Bremerton, Wash., and Cail C. Collister of Wichita, also one great-uncle and three great-nephews.
Mrs. Sivyer has not been well for many months, and time had been long for her. She was a member of the Royal Neighbor and Rebekah lodges. Her many friends in and around Minneapolis will remember her kindly and miss her.
