This is so wild I can't beleive this. My great-greatgrandfather was Anthony (Antney) Chappell. His wife's name was Melinda. They are buried in the Rocky Mount church yard in Talledega county. I have been trying for yers to find more information about him. My granfather told me I shouldn't ask so many questions about him that I might not like what I found.
The original headstones were just rocks but the family has since replaced them with marble headstones. My greatgrandfather's name was Issac G. Chappell. Please contact me.

Carolyn, we may have some of the same Chappell lines. I believe I connect to the Chappells who settled in Denbeigh Parrish (Newport News) Virginia in 1635 and whose descendants then eventually migrated to Perquimans County, North Carolina.
