a lot of the lines I have been following left from Pa or Va and went to N.C.
then on to n.Ky. where they stayed for a while. There are a lot of Bakers
in that area--it makes sense that the families went together with others and
stayed where they had friends family or where the land was good and they
could farm.
There were more Chappels, Bakers,Jones, etc, and lots of other names in n.
Kentucky which had excellent tobacco land.
Check out Henry Co., Ky. for your lines if you have not done so.
My Chappel/Williams line was there for a while and they children later(after
1840) moved on to Iowa.

I am looking for information regading my great-grandfather's brothers who came to the States in the late 1910 or early 1920 from Sokolov-Podlask (Podlaski) in Poland. I don't know any of their first names, but on arrival their last name was Cepilovitsch or any other related spelling. One of them settled in NY and the other went to St.Louis, where he had a shoestore. If you are related to any of these, please contact me. Thanks

My GreatGrandmother was Palastine Chappell. She was half Cherokee. She married Robert Bruce and they resided in Tn. Their only son was my Grandfather Walter Lee Bruce. I know he had 2 or 3 sisters. If any of this sounds familiar to anyone please e-mail me. I'm sure I can get more information from other relatives if needed.

Who were the parents of Samuel Chappell who married Miriam Chappell (dau. of Isaac Chappell and Elizabeth Palin) 14 Feb 1805 in either Chowan or Perquimans County, NC?
Is this the Samuel Chappell who died 1824?
Samuel and Miriam had sons named Isaac Chappell (born 4 October 1812 Perq.), and Mark Chappell (born 6 Dec 1810).
A Mark Chappell died 1817 in either Chowan or Perquimans, who married Rachel Wilson 5 Dec 1764.
Apparently Isaac Chappell who married Elizabeth Palin 15 Sep 1787 in Pasquotank County, NC was the father of Miriam Chappell born 23 June 1788 who married Samuel Chappell.
I have Isaac Sr. as a son of John Chappell and Mary Henley, and grandson of Robert and Elizabeth __ Chappell of Perquimans County, NC.
I had a history of the Chappell's some time ago, but my computer crashed and I lost it all before I had time to copy any of it...
Thanks,
Will Smith

I am looking for birth, marriage and death information for Charles E. Chappell born in Rhode Island. He married Sarah Edwards Partelo. I find them on the 1920 & 1930 Federal Censuses in Hopkinton. They children Charles E. Jr. born circa 1891 and Meribell (closest spelling I can get from Census) circa 1895. On the 1930 Census Meribell is listed with an unreadable married surname but living as a widow with her parents. Along with Meribell is her daughter Esther E. (born circa 1923). Sarah Edwards Partelo was the older sister of my great grandfather. Thanks in advance.

Is the George Chappell (1800-1871) that married Cynthia Hayes (1810-1866)
part of this line?

Does the CHAPPELL line on your CD come through George Chappell of Maryland,
or is it through the VA line of the family?
I descend from George's son, James, born in MD, and only am interested in
that line...
Thanks!
