I am looking for descendants of William Chapple who was married to Mary (unknown-born Lanlivery) and the father of Laura, 1863; Richard, 1865; Emily,1866; Thomas, 1869 and Matilda, 1871. He was the son of Richard and Ann (Nancy) Chapple of Helston. He seems to be in the 1881 Census in Falmouth as a police officer with only his three youngest children.
Thank you,
...Kathleen
I am looking for descendants of Richard CHAPPELL who married Jane LANDERYOU 13 June 1863. they had four children, Richard, 1866; Jane, 1874; Eliza, 1876 and Henry, 1878. Richard the father was a blacksmith and the son of Richard and Ann (Nancy) Chapple. Richard the son went into the business of his maternal grandfather, a butcher.
Jane is a widow in the 1881 and 1891 census in Helston Cornwall England. Her children are with her.
Thank you,
...Kathleen
I am searching for descendants of John CHAPPLE who married Sarah Ann RALPH in Helston Cornwall England on 16 February 1854. He is the son of Richard and Ann(Nancy) CHAPPLE, and a second cousin to my great grandfather. I would like to trace down that branch of the family. Sarah is the daughter of James RALPH. Both were listed as being 20 on the marriage certificate. My family name is now spelled Chappell but I think that branch may have carried through with Chapple.
Sarah's family were butchers by occupation. In the 1851 census John is listed as a gardner.
They are not in England during the 1861 census according to the CD of that census.
Thank you,
...Kathleen
Oops sent it to the wrong Chappel list ! Sorry

Hello Joan!
Was wondering if you knew what the 'B' stands for? It might give us another
clue in tracking down your Docie Chappel!
I myself am still searching for any links to my elusive 'George Chappell'
who went to Surry County NC from Harford County MD!

<DOCIE B. CHAPPEL, who was born:19 JUL 1883 (where is unknown at this
time). >
Hi, I'm in the process of trying to find anything on my son's ggrandmother,
DOCIE B. CHAPPEL, who was born:19 JUL 1883 (where is unknown at this
time). She ended up in the town of RUTHERFORD, Gibson Co., TN, where she
married a JOHN BENJAMIN REDDEN. They had 9
children--J.B.---LEAMON---HAROLD---JAMES FRANKLIN---FLOYD---LESLIE---MATTIE
LEE---FRANCES and LAURA MAE(Y).
DOCIE died: 08 OCT 1970 in Rutherford. JOHN BENJAMIN was born: 22 APR 1882
(assuming in Gibson Co., but even that's not for sure.) I'm game for
anything, as right now I can only guess where she's from. Personally I
think she's from Outer Space or somewhere. My thanks to Darcy for leading
me here. Hope to hear from someone on the "Elusive DOCIE". Joan/aka
