Charlie-
You have your Calebs twisted around:
Caleb CHAPPELL born 17 OCT 1671, son of George, married Ruth ROYCE in
Norwich, CT in 1694. This Caleb is also known as Leiut. Caleb CHAPPELL.
His son, Caleb (AKA Ensign Caleb) was born 1697 and had sons; Caleb III
(1723), and Amos 1736 plus five other children. The only daughter of Leiut
Caleb and Ruth Royce, that would have been old enought to marry Samuel
LEWIS in 1712 would have been their first child Abigail, born 1695 (who
married John CORBIT). All othe daughters of this elder Caleb were born
1700, 1704, and 1711. There are no Rebecca CHAPPELLs in this line (Caleb),
though there is a Rebecca born to Andrew CHAPPELL in New London in the
1720s' .
Send queries on CT CHAPPELLs anytime - one of the largest CHAPPELL
databases around.
