Christopher Chappell was born in Albemarle Parish, VA, son of Samuel
Chappell Jr. and Mary Chappell, 24 Sep 1744. His line is fairly well
documented in the book ==A GENEALOGICAL HISTORY OF THE CHAPPELL, DICKIE
AND OTHER KINDRED FAMILIES OF VIRGINIA==, by Phil E. Chappell (1900). He
was married twice, and Rolin (Roland) was the eldest son by his second
marriage. I am descended from Rolin's younger brother Britton Chappell,
who along with wife Mary Crouch, died in Montgomery Co, NC in 1848.
The Chappell family goes back beyond Samuel Chappell Jr. and I invite
you to visit my Genealogy Home Page at the below web site for more
information. I can also provide copies from the above book at .15 each
plus postage if you tell me what you are interested in. The section on
Christopher Chappell comprises 8 pages, but there is a lot of
information on his ancestry as well that you would probably be
interested in. If so, send me your snail mail address and I will be
happy to help.
