Need help on my line here. JESSE MATTHEW CHAPPELL was born around 1825 maybe
in South Carolina. His parents was CALIPH CHAPPELL and JANE LIDDELL. He
married ADALINE AVERY, born around 1831 in Alabama. They adopted twin boys
BARTLEY THOMAS and OBEDIAH G. WOOLEM and changed their last name to CHAPPELL.
The twins was born Jan. 12, 1860. They had a brother FRANK WOOLEM that was
not adopted. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Looking for ancestry of James Chappell age 7 in home of Mary Thompson in the
1776 census of Harford County, MD with his sister Mary age 8.....
He married Nancy ___?___ in 1786 and they lived in Surry County, NC where I
have their descendants listed... I've "hit a brick wall" in finding him
before 1776.....
Any ideas would be appreciated!
Hello cousins! I'm wondering if anyone has made any headway on the
connections of the Chappells in Denbigh Parish, York/Warwick counties,
VA, such as Zachariah, Robert....and the John/Thomas Chappells of
further inland up the James River...Prince Georges county, etc.??
A kind cousin has offered that my Isaac Chappell of Perquimans county,
NC,(married Elisabeth Palin of Pasquotank, 1787) might have descended
from Gideon, possible son of Richard, probable son of Robert, son of
Zachariah....does that make any sense? I've been searching for heritage
of my gggFather Isaac forever...and would love to have some real
connection with ANYONE!
Thanks for any info you might have. Carolyn Chappell Nelson
