Hello everyone,
I am a beginning genealogist, and maybe some of you can assist me
realizing some of my family history goals.
I had a great-grandfather, Marshall Sylvester Clifton Chappel, b.
1898, d. 1957, who m. Priscilla Mae Lunsford on date unknown. They
lived in or near Chicago, IL, but may have come from Butler County,
PA.
I am early on in my research, and fact gathering. I'm going to
starting from scratch on my digging into records. I've been reading a
few books: Complete Idiot's Guide to Genealogy by Rose & Ingalls, as
well as the Genealogist's Companion and Sourcebook by Croom.
Nice to meet you all,
Jason

I have come across a death certificate for Emaline,I am waiting for confirmation this is my GG Grandmothers mother. My GG Grandmother has proven to be quite the story teller, which makes it very difficult to prove anything! I recently learned her last name could actually be Blackburn. I found on ancestry the Indiana Marriage, it has Emaline Chapple m Joseph Blackburn 04 June 1846.I cannot find them in a census anywhere. My GG Grandmothher, Mary Ellen ? was born 1848 in Logansport Indiana.Does anyone have any information about this?
