Married: In Pultneyville, on New Years Eve, by Rev. John ROBINSON, Mr. William THOMPKINSON, to Miss Alzina CHAPPEL
Hello,
I'm trying to find info on a Samuel Chapel who was
born around 1795 in NY, to parents that were both born
in CT. Does any body happen to have any info on this
Samuel? He died in Wisconsin in 1883.
I know he married a "Mary" and they later are found in
the Elgin County, Ontario area, then on to Michigan,
and finally into Wisconsin.
Thanks!
Scott

I am trying to find William and Elizabeth ( TAYLOR ) CHAPPEL. I gleaned the marriage records at Monona Co., IA. but was unable to locate their marriage there.
Through my husband's grandmother ( Will and Eliz's neice ) and Eliz's father's will that they were residing in San Diego, CA. in 1932. I did find a few possiblities on the Cal. Death index but with out know more about William I am stuck.
Grandma tells me that William was well off ( made quite a bit of money ) and Elizabeth's neice and nephew ( from John and Harriet MOUNT ) ended out there with them. I did find that Richard MOUNT died in Orange Co., CA.
Elizabeth was born about 1891 in England ( possibly Addingham or Bedford ). She migrated with the TAYLOR family in 1893 - 1893 from England with George WHITTAM.
If anyone has any information on William and Elizabeth any hint would be helpful. Please e-mail me at kkbgenealogy(a)yahoo.com

I have since discovered that "Kate CHAPPELL" married Lucilius CLOSSON in 1868 in Ogle County, Illinois. The 1880 Census for Dixon, Lee Cty, Ill lists them living in the same household with their three children, Ethel, Eugenia, and Edson.
Maybe these new details will be familiar to someone?
