Just wanted to drop everyone a line to offer my sincere thanks to Carla
Davenport for finding the evidence to break down our Chapman brick wall (which
has been in place for over 30 years)!
Cousin Carla and I have been working together to find the father of Nathaniel
H. Chapman (1761-1829). We have gone through all of our Chapman files and
practically memorized every detail of our great-grandfather to help us in our
search. After countless hours of rehashing all of our evidence, Carla found
Nathaniel's father, John, in Cumberland County, VA just waiting to be
discovered. Not only did she find John but, she has uncovered many leads to
John's possible father (when it rains, it pours)!!
Needless to say, this has been a very exciting week for both of us! New found
information sure does have a way of bringing new life into your genealogical
projects. And, finding your ancestors with a cousin (who, I might add, you
met on the Chapman list!) makes your discoveries that much better!
Thank you Carla for all of your hard work on our family. You have made the
search for our Chapman line quite a pleasure!
Yours,
Angela Chapman Brigman
