Hi All,
The group that did the Biographical Dictionary of Early Va., were merely
trying to document
the ones that "survived"------1607--to -1660 long enough(a few years) to
establish a home
or received a "headright" (50 acres). I seriously doubt that you can even
get such a
"print out" anymore. Years back, people seem to be very helpful to all of
us digging for roots.
Anyway, this is the "gist" of this list on the Early Chapman's in VA
and I know more did emigrate; (How long did they live ??)
Nicholes Chapman b. 1593 arrived 1619- a servant
Francis Chapman present in VA in 1608
Now all of these Chapman's arrived in 1635 from Londan
Richard (several records, was later in Lower Norfolk Co.)
Henry Chapman b. 1616
Walter Chapman
& Thomas "Chapell" ( a servant)
There were several records on;
Phillipp Chapman b. 1601 d. 1644 - he arrived in 1621
was the father of John and Elizabeth Chapman
Then on Thomas Chapman who arrived in 1610 on the Tyrell- several records
wife Ann in 1619 and children Thomas Jr and Ann--
mixed in with there records is ANOTHER THOMAS CHAPMAN-
( and he must be sorted out)(I did a lot of early VA
research--fascinating ! )
And Preacher, as to Isaac, I have learn never, never to pass up ANY HINT
of a CLUE--
Cuz Noni
