Hello Don Eckerle....
Your note re Chapman in MA prompts me to respond, but more to seek
information than to be enlightening. I've explored part of your
database in Genserv and note that you have a Chapman genealogy.
Perhaps you can be helpful with a couple of my Chapman's.
One is Margaret Chapman, born 1746, in Tolland County CT and who married
Samuel Ladd. I wonder if by any chance she derives from the Edward
Chapman family. She is at the cousin level for me.
Another is Levi Jackson Chapman, born in Massachusetts in 1792, and he
is a great grandfather some generations back. He arrived in Ohio and
there had a family of Ohio Chapmans who are my direct ancestors. I have
been unable to identify his ancestry.
Perhaps the document you have provides extensive enough information that
you could determine whether either of the above two are related to the
Edward Chapman line.
Should there be a connection of interest, I do have a good bit of
information on one line of Chapman's in northern Ohio that I would be
glad to share.
Thanks for any help you might provide.
