Well, I can see that I didn't word it very well. To begin with, as
Listowner, I read each and every message.
I don't scan, don't discard any. Can't. Not if I'm going to do any
justice to overseeing the list at all.
What I was trying to say was that if I see the OH or WI added to the
subject line, I would pay particular notice......And, there really are
people who do skip over messages if they think by the subject line that it
is of no interest to them. I feel that it would be more helpful to put the
name of the person and the region
into the subject line for everyone concerned.

Bubba isn't mine <g> I made the request, because I had received personal
messages requesting that the region be added to the subject line. I don't
feel that it is an unreasonable request. If enough is known about the
person being researched, the different areas and stopping points will be
known. For instance, I know that my grandfather's parents came from NY,
went to IN, and ended up in WI. So I would watch for all three of those
regions.

:So, as I did yesterday, the best way to get attention to a particular

Nope. As I've stated....I acted on personal requests...nothing more,
nothing less.
:If so, I apologize, but would still like some way to avoid having my

Your messages might be dismissed by some also because there is no region
listed also. I was asked to try this method, and my request stands. If
you have further comment, please send privately rather than through the list.
