This Anderson/Chapman connection is interesting. I have one in Sumner Co.,
TN in the line of Samuel Chapman who died there 1811 His daughter,
Elizabeth, married James Anderson. Elizabeth died 1854 in TN, James died
1811 there. In the Shelby Co., AL 1850 census I found these folks:
Descendants of Anderson Chapman
1 Anderson Chapman b: 1811 TN d: res: 1850 Shelby Co., AL
.. +Sophromia Unknown b: 1812 SC m: Abt. 1831 d: res: 1850 Shelby Co., AL
. 2 Nancy Chapman b: 1832 AL
. 2 Samuel J. Chapman b: 1834
. 2 William A. Chapman b: 1838
. 2 Martha Chapman b: 1841
. 2 Francis Chapman b: 1844
. 2 Rachel Chapman b: 1846
. 2 Mary A. Chapman b: 1849
Samuel Chapmans daughter, my ancestor, Rispah Chapman married John Chapman
Mundine (a 2nd cousin) & moved to Shelby Co., AL. I believe the family
above is related, may be a son of Silas Chapman, another s/o Samuel. John
Chapman Mundines grandmother was Sarah Chapman, sister of Samuel Chapman.
Everyone thoroughly confused yet??!! Cindy
