either Ohio or New York. I do not know her parent's names, but one
census lists her parent's place of birth as New York. In the 1850 Ohio
census there was an Hester A. TAYLOR listed with Isaac CHAPMAN and his
wife Rachel (nee COLVIN).
This Hester A. TAYLOR married James BRUCE (b. 1832 in Highland Co.,
Ohio) on Sept 6, 1855 in Highland Co., Ohio.
Isaac CHAPMAN deeded a piece of land to Hester in Highland Co., Ohio.
The land deed says in part, "The said land being a part of Survey No.
2482 in said county-and being the same land conveyed to Hester A. R.
BRUCE by Isaac CHAPMAN and Rachel CHAPMAN his wife by deed recorded in
Highland County Records of deeds Book 46-page 127.

siblings were. I would also like to know what connection she has with
the CHAPMAN's. ****

James BRUCE (b. 1832) was the son of James BRUCE (b. Nov 10, 1796 I
think in VA) and Lucinda CHANEY (b. Sept 25, 1810 in Highland Co.,
Ohio). They were married Nov 15, 1828 in Highland County, Ohio. This
James BRUCE (b. 1796) had also been married to Lucinda's sister Peggy
CHANEY in Sept 1817.

Lucinda CHANEY was the daughter of Gabriel CHANEY and Mary ? (they
were married abt 1790 in Maryland).
Minnie Belle BRUCE (b. Aug 1865) was married to Levi NEIDIG Jan 31,
1890 in Highland Co., Ohio.
Minnie Belle and Levi NEIDIG had 2 children:

Nettie Elmira NEIDIG was married to Robert Franklin MILLER (b. Aug
29, 1886) on Dec 22, 1906 in Upper Sandusky, Wyandot Co., Ohio.
Robert Franklin MILLER was born to Frank MILLER (b. Feb 1858) and
Ellen LONG (b. July 16, 1863). Both were born in Wyandot Co., Ohio.
Frank MILLER was the son of Frank (or Franklin) MILLER (b. Nov 19,
1828 in Hesse-Darmstadt, Germany) and Magdalena HUFFMAN (b. Mar 11, 1833
in Alsace, France).
Ellen Long was the daughter of Hugh Hopkins LONG (b. 1821 I think in
OH) and Sarah DEVENE (or Devine) (b.1827 in VA).
Sarah DEVENE was the daughter of Alexander DEVENE and Elizabeth ??,
both from VA.
****Does anyone know who the parents/siblings of Hugh Hopkins LONG
(b. 1821) were? There was another Hugh Hopkins LONG in Highland County
at the same time, but the dates and ages do not match up.****
**** Who were Alexander DEVENE's parents/siblings? And who was his
