Hi all,
For those that are interested, I have found the following Chapman
item on ebay auctions.
================================
www.ebay.com
EBAY Item #564897678
Description:
Genealogy: CHAPMAN. The time period is 1818 - 1857 & it concerns
a land grant
that was given to "Oliver CHAPMAN, a Corporal in Co. of Capt.
Walker of the 25th
Regt. U.S. Infantry" in 1818. First let me say that I acquired
the original in connection
with my own genealogy research & I know there are other Chapman
family members
that would like a copy on this - But finding the interested
decendants is another story!
Therefore, this auction is for COLOR COPIES of this original
FOUR PAGE letter
which was hand written on blue paper. Included also is a summary
of all I know about
it and also a transcription, as best as I can make it out, of
what the letter says, which is
written in the Old Style handwriting. The letter was written in
1857 and mentioned in
it are the names F.C. CHAPMAN, O.B. (Oliver) CHAPMAN, Joseph P.
CHAPMAN,
___ Jas/James LANMAN from "Norwich", John ROGERS, Capt. WALKER.
=====================
Remember, check out WHO else is bidding and don't bid against someone
that will share the information with you or the list. I saw a
Chapman history book go so high that most couldn't afford it.
