I found Richards family born Maitland on
www.bdm.nsw.gov.au and you can find
his ticket of leave details etc on
www.records.nsw.gov.au
I have not been able to find Thomas and Elizabeth as I have no subscription
to ancestry to access Pallots. According to William's death cert. 1863 his
mother was Elizabeth Boxall. Not found yet on the Boxall list. His
marriagecert. says he came from Surrey but it appears the children were
baptised at St. Leonards. I found a William Chapman that had been whipped at
the Old Bailey for theft in Shoreditch at age 11 in 1834. This fits.
