Hello, in response to the Thomas Chapman inquiry, do you know if your
Thomas fought in the 1812 war?
Do you have a wife's name? That
age brackett would have put him in
the 1812 war. I do have the pension
his wife was Winney Witt, they were
married in Hawkins County Tn.
Robert and Elizabeth are his parents
as Detective Darryl has said. This
particular tribe all moved to Campbell
County TN. Only one exception Robert
and Elizabeths son Joseph Chapman
he remained in Russell or Hannover
Co. he married Riety Lovens, Joseph
and Riety (Ruby) some say, they had
two boys lost to the Civil war, Theophalus that married Jerusha Ellington
Dickenson. Theophalus served in Union under Price. He died
in Missouri September 22, 1862.
Their son Isreal born 1926 died in
Northern Prison In New York during
the Civil War.
Hope this helps someone.
