Molly,
We've puzzled about connections years ago because of names in common. You
mentioned your gggrandfather Ezekiel Chapman possibly a Van Horn wife in
Onondaga County, with twin sons Clinton and Cortland (do you suppose they
were named for the counties, if they were - too lazy to get up to see when
those counties were formed -vbg).
My gggrandfather's grandson (collateral line from mine), Randall Chapman
moved to Michigan after the Civil War and his elder son John married a
Hannah Van Horn in Macomb, Michigan. When I was researching that line, I
came across a lot of Van Horns. Might there be a clue there for you??

In reading through your list of John Chapman descendants I see a Van Horn.
Do you have any more info on that line? My gggrandfather Ezekiel Chapman was
supposedly married to a Mary Van Horn when they produced twin sons (Clinton
and
Cortland) in Onondaga County, NY 1820. I have been looking for a connection
for many years. Any info would be gratefully accepted.
Thank You,
Molly Ball Stoddard
