Hi Clyde and all, I have a fairly good listing of some of the
Chapmans
that
you listed for Greenup Co, KY. James and Phoebe (Pearce) Chapman had
the
following children Rueben, Lucy, Josiah, John, Anderson, Martin, Sarah,
Frances, Henry, William, Greenup, and Mary. James, Phoebe and family
moved
to the Greenup Co, KY area abt 1799. Most of them had moved across
the
river to Scioto Co, OH between 1820 and 1830. The list of children was
researched by a Ira Allen Chapman, a grandson of Josiah, in the early 1900
and written down in a book to his son in 1909. This list matches fairly
well with the children that were dispersed money from James' estate when
he
died in 1839.
There is no Aquilla Chapman mentioned in any of the information that I
have been able to find so far on the family of James Chapman. Thats not
to
say that he wasn't related to some of the other Chapman's
that you
mentioned. If I can be of anymore help please let me know. Thanks, Paul
Rekow
