Corey,
Whereabouts in Mississippi? My family settled in Yalobusha Co in the
1830s, coming from KY via a period in TN.

Since I've seen a handful of "Joseph Chapman" messages floating around it
seems like now is a good time to ask about mine again.
I have a mostly unknown Joseph Chapman in Mississippi in the early 1860's.
He had a son named Andrew Joseph who was born on 2 March 1861 in Mississippi
(according to census/marriage records).
Nothing else is concretely known about my Joseph Chapman although the DNA
tests reveal there is a very, very high probablilty he is descended from
William Washington Chapman (b. 1793 in Morgan County, GA), I just haven't been able
to find where he fits in to that line.
Any help of any kind would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Corey
