Subject: [CHAPMAN-L] William Chapman
For Karen Wallace - well, I did look at William's in the UK in
the 1700
time
period. There were too many records to write down. For example,
Derbyshire
marriages had 211 records. So I tried Mary Fraggatt/Froggatt. I
didn't
get
anything for Fraggatt but there were several records for Froggatt but
not
for
a Mary Froggatt. In that time period the Frogatt's who were
listed may
have
been relatives of hers? I did copy the following even though this
isn't
the
William you're looking for:
Derbyshire: Mickleover & Littleover - Register of Mickleover
1607-1812
& Littleover 1680-1812:
William, s/o Edward & Margaret Chapman, bap: 16 Apr 1731
William, s/o Edward Chapman, burial 18 Apr 1731
Derbyshire all Saints Marriages 1813-1817, marriages at St.
Werburghs:
William Chapman of Tutbury, farmer, & Elizabeth Clark - 8
Sep 1800
My husband is in the hospital right now but when time permits, I'll go in
periodically (
Ancestry.com) and copy/post Chapman's I find in the UK.
