What has this got to do with genealogy?????????
(sigh) It has nothing to do with genealogy per se. I chose to ignore the
thing rather than mention it, especially on the list, because this topic
most always ends up in a free for all on any list. It's also the reason
that the "welcome letter" that each and every subscriber receives
specifically states that NO posts on religion, regardless of what the
faith, are acceptable. Yes, I'm Christian, yes I DO actively worship, but
I won't tolerate any topics on this list that will cause
problems. Religion and politics are both topics that are off limits for
obvious reasons. Too volatile to be discussed. Always ends up in a
shouting match. Something that this list has been never been guilty of,
and I don't want it to start.
So........let me reiterate........NO topics posted that have anything
remotely to do with religion and/.or politics......and as for the other
guidelines of the list, please read the welcome letter you all
received. If you threw it away, then write me, and I'll send another.
If I have enough requests, I'll post it to the list.
One more thing. Please also remember that as a subscriber to this list,
ANY complaints are to be handled by me, and directed TO me in
*private*. If you can't remember my address, then use
Chapman-admin(a)rootsweb.com I'll receive anything sent to that address.
Again.....do NOT challenge anyone who posts something to the
list......regardless of whether it's a banned topic or not. It's not the
way I prefer to deal with it, and not up to anyone else to take the matter
into their own hands. It only adds fuel to the fire, and often causes hard
feelings, and disruption of the list also.
Thanks for understanding.
