This 1850 CHAPMAN census (below) caught my eye, as the HOH Chapman is a
Clergyman,
but his wife is indicated as born in NY, not VT.
I assuming you believe Theda's mother's place of birth to be VT, based
on the 1880 MI census,
but the 1850 or the 1880 birth location could be wrong on the census.
And this same family, on the 1840 census had a female child age 10-15,
the right age for your Theda.
