Hi Wayne:
???? I'm very interested in your Benjamin Chapman line, because my own brick wall is
my gggrandfather, Samuel Singleton Chapman, born, so far as we know, in Graves Co, KY, in
1820.? The family soon moved to TN, except for one of Sam's brothers, Davis Green
Chapman, who migrated to TX in 1845.? While I don't think that our Sam is descended
from Benjamin, as I think that his father was William Chapman, and that the family
migrated to KY from NC, I do think that there might be some relationship, as extended
families often migrated together.? If you have any information which might shed some light
on this, I'd be very grateful to know of it.? I've gone to Graves Co, but there
are no surviving records there earlier than 1880, by which time the family were long
gone.? Sam's sister, Pernicia, did remain in the county, marrying William Paschall,
and her descendants remain to this day, as they say.

Rees looks like you woke some sleeping Chapmans up. I am looking for
ancestors of Benjamin Chapman who was in Robertson County, VA in 1806
when his son John was born. I descend from Benjamin through John,
Harvey, Robert, and my father Lester.
My ancestors moved from TN to Logan and Graves County, KY, Maypearl, TX,
Washita County, OK, and finally to Lamar County, TX in 1939. I did
recently find a family tree that said Benjamin's father was Phillip but
have not checked any sources on that yet.
Any help on this will be appreciated. My tree is at
