Some time ago I tried to find any info on the CHAPMAN research done by
Inglis Fletcher. She did extensive research on the CHAPMAN line in N.
Carolina, Ill., and England. I have some small shreds of her work but there
is supposed to be a vast collection in the depository of the "Inglis
Fletcher Research Center" in the Eastern North Carolina College at
Greenville N.C.The thing that I am interested in is that she is reported to
definitly proved the connection between the Chapmans and the Champernowne
family as well as Sir Walter Raleigh. Inglis died many years ago, but her
research papers are still there. I just haven't been able to get there yet.
Does any one know about the research she has done on the CHAPMANS. This
was in the early 1900s. Any help or leads appreciated.
