Hello Marilee
Thank you for this, I beleive Hinckley is next to or not too far from
Countesthorpe, which is where our Chapmans are from, i can only trace them
to the early 1800 (not confirmed yet though), so i suspect they came from
another town before 1800.
I will keep your message on file & if i find any connection i will get back
to you.
Cheers
Melissa

The rest are Chapmans currently living and, since I don't have their
permission to list the information on the web, I am omitting it here. Note
- all addresses in New York and Pennsylvania are in the area supposedly
frequented by Johnny Appleseed - they are in the same area as the Olean
(pronounced Oh-lee-ann) that was listed in an earlier post. I do not know
if there is a connection, however.

Hello Rolande
I am curious to know where abouts in England your Chapmans are from, mine
(My Husbands family) are from Leicestershire, but have hit a brick wall at
1820's.
i know it is a long shot, but worth asking.
