Michael,
I have a connection to Mississipi County, AR. Four of my grandfather's
siblings and their families moved from Tipton County, TN and settled in the
area around Blytheville, AR between the 1890-1910 time frame. They were
W.T. "Dub" Chapman, Khan Wooten Chapman, Neeley Marion Chapman, and Clara
Chapman Akins. They all stayed in the immediate area for the remainder of
their lives. With the exception of Neeley, who was a barber, they were all
farmers. In addition to being a farmer, Khan was with the Dept. of Revenue.
This family descends from Francis Marion Chapman/Mary Ann Biggs through John
A. Chapman/Narcissus Carter.

Subject: [CHAPMAN-L] Chapman's in Arkansas
I have a question for anyone doing research into the Chapman's in Arkansas.
I may have a connection to a branch there, but it is very iffy at this time.
According to a descendant of one of my great great grandfather's sister,
some of the family left Christian Co., KY and following the Cotton Mills to
places like Little Rock.
This lady is quite elderly and this is just a forwarded message to me from
another family researcher.
I guess what I'm trying to find out if there even IS anyone out there
researching a Chapman connection to that area or if anyone has heard of such
a thing before. There may also be a Beaird connection to those Chapman's.
