Michael I may be the one to cause the comments. I placed the answer to stopping, not
necessarily spam, for that can come as an individual email. but someone sending an email
to your email address or hacking into your computer and bouncing emails to who ever they
direct them to and using your email addresses for multiple mailing. That happened to me
someone used my computer and sent emails to NASA no less. When contacted by my server and
told to stop sending the emails, in defense if told them I had no addresses of anyone at
NASA. My cousin said to make first address
The AAAAAAA etc. Do not open an email unless you are somewhat more than certain it is a
known or real person and then they can't use your computer. I even had to disarm my
fax machine.

Wow, my rant has created more activity on the Chapman list than any I've seen in
years. Now, if we could only put this time and effort into family tree research
instead of carping and pinging stones back and forth at each other ... well, who
knows what long-hidden connections could be made.

Marty...after three or four emails, I believe we get your point. I
appreciate your advice and did as you suggested...you don't have
to
beat a dead horse. It isn't worth the stress!

I made up the
nowhere.com idea, but in case its real, the name does
not count,
it just has to be false, make it
somewhere.com, or
blahblah.com, and
lead with
AAAAA or 000000 so its first in your list, make it 000000(a)000000.com,
or
anything, just so its first in your contact list, and that can fool
the spam
machine.....I did a lot of google research about this after a friends
account
was hacked, and I have done it on my account, and so far, I am
ok...AGAIN, I AM
NOT A HACKER, I WAS MERELY DEFENDING THE PERSON WHOSE ACCOUNT WAS
HACKED AND A
PORN MESSAGE PUT HERE, ITS NOT THEIR FAULT, BLAME THE HACKERS IN
NIGERIA AND
ELSEWHERE AND PROTECT YOURSELF, BUT ITS NOT THE VICTIMS FAULT!

how did you reach 70 by not reading and understanding? I told you how
to protect
yourself, I I said the person whose account has been hacked is the
victim, not
the bad guy, and you blather on about me giving you a url, which I
did
not, I
said to make a fake email to be first on your contact list, this can
protect you
from hackers, you need to read and understand and not be an idiot!

This very same thing happened to me on another list I am on and I
just
deleted
both the first message and then the message from "Doggus
Maximus".
(I'm not into
trying to fix the worlds problems, because it is just easier to
"delete". But
now, I'm glad I didn't go to the URL that Doggie recommended
because I
got to
thinking (and quite quickly for a 70 year old man) that this seems
like a
set-up. People like me might be inclined to just delete the first
message, and
then go to the URL recommended by doggie and that is where the real
problem
might be. It
just seemed strange that doggie would be on the same two lists that
I
am on, so
I am just assuming that this might be a bait and switch (or something
like that)
scheme to outwit some of us slower individuals. Just a thought!!!
