Tom,
I think my aunt and I are not really sure about Nancy's parents. I'll have
to check with her. As to where the Balls were in 1700, I am not that far
back. You may be aware that there is a Ball under every rock in Virginia.
Of course every Ball family has a John! Looks like more research is needed.

Could your John Chapman be the same John L. Chapman who had a sister
Nancy
that married John Ball? He is believed to be the son of John Chapman and
Jane Donaho. The John in my database died in Cabell Co. between 1850-60
and
was married to Elizabeth Menefee. I am descended from Nancy Chapman and
John Ball.

Somebody once told me that Milly was Milly Abbot and unconnected to
John/Jane.
By the way, I have Nancy there, but she is not entirely proven a child
of John/Jane. Do you have any proof?
Recently I've been looking in Charles County, Maryland for ancestors
of John/Jane. Where were the Balls in 1700 or so?
