Hey, the people on this rootsweb are the greatest !!! I had more laughs
at the emails I have recieved in the last 2 days, since I sent the
"OLDNONI" address, than in the whole year.--------- As I say, I
couldn't be "Young Noni", not with 15 grand-kiddies , but wouldn't
something like FoxyNoni been great !!! I'm stuck with this for 6 months,
as they are sending my old number through with it till then, ---------and
hey ! , by 6 months I will probably like it.
Mari, this is a great bunch, they are making my week end.
Noni,
Audrey,
Can you add dates, region, etc? Would help others to help you. :)

At least you got a new computer. Mine crashed, had to have C:\ reformatted
and have been tearing my hair out installing programs, restoring data, etc.
Lost all my e-mail addresses and URLs. Sigh.
And hey, I like being old. I sure know more stuff than these smart-alec kids!

Hello, I am new to this list and seek help from my many online kin.
O seek information about Joseph Chapman (June 14, 1740 - 1820, burried at
Chapman Summers Cemetery, see
http://www.fdu.com/family/chapmansummerscem.htm ). I am interested in the
burrial location of his wife's, Penelope Summers ( born ca 1753 Newberry,
SC ), grave and her death date. Her parents are both burried in the Chapman
Summers cemetery.
Thanks....

I was asked to pass this on to the list. It is a rather interesting article about the ealry days in England and Nova Scotia. While it doesn't pertain to my line - it may help someone else. Please note this was found on line and we have no other data on this line. Just wanted to pass it on to the list.

Below is a list of the ministers who have been resident in the Point de Bute Circuit since 1840:

Thanks Russell,
May be just as you say. Part of my problem is I can't find a Harriett or
Harmuth Chapman anywhere in Lumpkin Co, GA.
Also, we may well be exacerbating the problem by creating "indexes" and
transcriptions of actual records and not being sure of what we are reading?
Some of the old microfische or records are indeed hard to read.
Jack Milam.
Thanks Tinnie,
Do you have his father's name or where he lived? My George S Chapman was b
in South Carolina in 1810. I don't show a son by that name.
Jack Milam
I have a George S. Chapman that was born in Alabama on
December 23, 1837 and died in Weimar, Texas. His Dad
was born in Georgia and his mom in North Carolina. He
married Eleanor A. Lide who was also born in Alabama.
They were married in Perry County, Alabama in 1867.

Unless you're looking at originals (photocopies) of the marriage record,
you're probably seeing an example of poor interpretation of old handwriting.
I would suspect that "Harriett" and "Harmuth" are the same name. Write both
of the names out in longhand. Look at them closely.
