Listed next door is CLAYTON, Abigail, 25, widow, b. ILL, Father b. OH,

Clayton, Charles H., 3, son, b.OH, Father b. ENG., Mother b. ILL.
This Abigail Clayton is David Chapman's daughter but not Addiline's.
DOES ANYONE HAVE THIS LINE OF CHAPMANS?
The volunteer also stated that there was a David Chapman listed in
Carlisle township on page 414, but I never heard anymore about it.

I am looking for descendants of Charles and Elizabeth Chapman. They were
both born in England. They were married in Penfield, NY in 1873 and moved
to Missouri around 1887. In the early 1900s, the family moved to Wamego,
Kansas where Charles and Elizabeth ran a general store.
Looking for my cousins: descendants of Mary Barraclough Wasser, Melva
Chapman McCabe, William Arthur Chapman, Walter Ernest Chapman, Martha
Chapman Boyd, William Joseph Chapman, Dorothy Roby Girvin, Chesley Bradley
Chapman and Minnie Hannah Chapman Hawkins.

Sorry. Didn't mean to make it sound like a plea for attention. Too much
on my mind, I guess...
but we really DO appreciate all the kind thoughts and words. Said it
before, will say it again....and probably again....this is a great bunch of
people, the Chapman-L!

Will keep your family in prayers!

I am seeking information on my great-grandmother Victoria Chapman, who
married, White then Alfred Smith.
She was born in 1861. Possibly in Buford, South Carolina. May have
lived on a reservation for many years.
At 11:54 PM 6/27/99 +0000, you wrote:

Hi, Thanks but no that's not the James Chapman that I am searching for.
But James had a daughter that settled in Macoupin County IL --Katerine
Smith wife of Henry Smith --I hope that's correct from memory. Macoupin
joins Macon Co. in IL so they could be connected some where.
Joesph, and Andrew both settled in Macon Co. so it could connect. But a
little early for when they got that direction. There was a David Chapman
in IL --Macon Co. that I have never been able to connect to my Chapmans.
Kay
Barbara.
NO. Darn it. I can't seem to get beyond that 1640 date of the first
Thomas C. that I know of and do not know of his parents. However,
the father's name may be Thomas, also. That would make either four
or five Thomas' in as many generations.
Need to keep searching.

Hi,
I sure wish that I knew anyting about the Chapmans of Vt. other than what I
told you in our last e-mail. Do you know how it is possibe to fing out about
the other families you mention. There were 2 children born, one died and the
family Bible records the other children, but appears they all were in
Michigan as young people. My gg grandmother married a Ballard and that is my
connection to the Chapman line. Let us keep in touch so we may both find
missing links. Bye for now Harold,
Martha
Most Wanted Chapman:
Area of concern: parents, birth, burial...have Census information on her on
1870 and 1880. Arkansas.
Name: Lousetta J. CHAPMAN nee MAINER
Birth: ca 1841 KY Death : 3 July 1880 Buried somewhere near Clarksville,
ARK

Born White Co. ILL.
Migratory direction if any: Thomas was in Carroll Co. Newton Co. and
Johnson Co. as well as Fulton Co. ARkansas and was later living in Ripley

Believe that they may have married Newton Co. Ark.
Thomas Was not married to Lousetta J. Mainer on the 1860 Census, but they
were probably married sometime during the civil war if not before???
First known child on census records is: Mandy J. CHAPMAN born ca. 1865 Ark

Hi guys !! ( Preacher & Rees)
Well----------no "Chapman Obit" for me today, I survived the week with the
boys---saw Stars Wars twice,
hit McDonalds three times among various other things !!
********************************************
As to "John Chapman" I have a great deal on, but not his children ?
He was borned before 1685 in Charles Co. Md. the son of RICHARD CHAPMAN and
(likely 1684)
Barbara Hemsey ( and here is something to "chew on"---Hemsey is also
recorded as "Henley")
The proof here is the Will of WILLIAN HEMSEY, whom mentions his grandson's
William,
Richard and John Chapman (May 1685) ---- Mother BARBARA (HEMSEY/ CHAPMAN/
GORLY/JONES)
in her WILL March 12, 1713 lists sons William (dec), Richard and JOHN
CHAPMAN.
As to JOHN CHAPMANS' marriage to MARGARET MANKIN, that data is correct, it
is the same as I
have via the Wills and such. John and Margeret lived in the area of St.
Thomas Manor in Charles Co. Md.
They had one known son that is listed, John Chapman Jr. whom John Sr. has
on a land lease in 1745
***********************************************
Do I think this bears further reseach ?? You bet your sweet bippy's !!!
Always have !!!
Lordy, wish I could get over this "sickness" of researching this
line----its not my Chapman's as far as I
know--------------if it were Rees, could we realy be "cousins" (????)
P.S.---- The first RICHARD CHAPMAN I mention, who dec, in 1685 was the son
of RICHARD CHAPMAN
whom if I prove to be right, came direct from England.

On the LDS online site there are two (2) Isaac Chapmans. Both married to
Sarah Cole.
#1 Isaac Chapman
Father.....John Chapman
Mother....Margaret Mankin
#2 Isaac Chapman
Father....Thomas Chapman
Mother...Mrs. Thomas Chapman
I know that this is an obvious error but can some one shed some light.
Does anyone have Isaac's parents documented??

Hey Mari:
I'm doing fine, just one day at a time. Went to Cardioligist Friday,
scheduled for hospital this Fri. for tests, then back to Dr. on Mon. and
another Dr. on Tues. I've only had 3 heart attacks and a stroke. Just
taking it one day at a time.
Seriously, I get my strength from the fact my life is in the hand of
God. I've served Him for 40 years now. When He gets ready, I'll go
home.........Not before. I'm happy with that set up.
