Hi
I have just joined the list.
I'm looking for a William CHAPMAN, father George, a farmer "formerly of
Walsoken" who married Eliza Soulden in 1850 at Wisbech St Peter.
I have been unable to find a suitable George and William in the 1841
census or the newly married couple in 1851. They may already have gone to
Antwerp, where their daughter Mary Elizabeth was born in 1853. She married in the
British Embassy in Brussels in 1880.
William is a fruit dealer on his marriage certificate. I'm wondering why
he would have gone to Antwerp, but I would even more like to hear from
anyone who can help me with his ancestry
