Nothing new for a while on my CHAPMANs.
Still looking for Thomas and Richard CHAPMAN who spent time in the early 1800s in Medmenham, BUCKS.
Also looking for William CHAPMAN, son of the above Richard, who lived in Clewer/New Windsor BERKS from about 1850 to early 1900s. William's son Ernest was in the Navy/Coastguard and ran a post office in Old Windsor in the 1930s. He was my great-grandfather.
I'd love to hear from anyone with connections. Many of the family ended up in the Westminster area, so there could certainly be cousins there, too.
All the best,

I have all they do, which is not a lot. I found him in Bucks Co PA ( across
the river from Hunterdon Co NJ) carding wool in 1754, and sons b 1747 and
1765.. That and his coming from London is ALL.

We descendants of Philikp Chapman are waiting on someone on your side of the
pond to help us with who his parents are ;-) We conjecture he was b c
1720 since he married in NJ in 1746. We don't know who he married or anything
before he came to USA in 1745 as a wool trader.
HELP!
Catherine
Hi, Catherine.
Have you posted a request such as this to the New Jersey message
boards? There are usually folks who monitor the boards and do lookups for
others.

Hi listers
I would like you to share any new findings on your ancestors to the list. It
will give many great satisfaction to know that eventually we all will find
more info. They in return can ask you how you found the info. Sometimes something
that someone else has done helps others. Thanks, Carol list MOM
