Additionally, administration tools will no longer be available to list administrators and mailing lists will be put into an archival state.

Well, I don't know what to tell you...George was subbed to the list in both
modes. That was the reason for his duplicate messages. You're only subbed
once. You sure it's the Chapman-UK and not the Chapman-L?
Anyone else??? <g> Just as well get them all!

It has been a while since I posted my interests, so I thought I would
give it another try now, in the hope that someone new might see a
connection. Since I am posting this to several lists simultaneously,
I'm afraid some of you will be receiving it more than once.
I am hoping to find someone with information on my great-
grandfather, James (or William James) CHAPMAN who was born in Lisburn,
Ireland, about 1865. According to a record I found in the IGI, his
parents may have been William Edward CHAPMAN and Margaret
MAGEE. His wife's name was Sarah DEANE or DEANS. Their first six
children, Margaret, William, Maud, Jane, Frank and David, were born in
Ireland. The family came to the US in 1889, supposedly on the SS
Germanic, and settled in Paterson, NJ. They all remained in NJ, except
for Joseph, who moved to Texas and then to Alabama.
Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
Pat

Received this a bit ago. Does anyone know about this, or give some more
information?
I don't understand how exclusive rights can be bought for a public record.

CHAPMAN - Cambridgeshire
I am looking for the CHAPMAN family of Swaffham Bulbeck and Swaffham Prior
in Cambridgeshire. At the moment, the period I am interested in is the
1790s to the 1860s. There is also a possibility that there were connections
with Chapmans in Ashley and Chelveley, both near Newmarket.
Does this ring a bell with anyone?
Regards
