Hi Mari:
Effective 10/1 my new email address will be: dejavu1(a)prodigy.net.
Is there anything I need to do to implement this change or will you
be taking care of it??
Barb
Carol,
It's only for those people who have prodigy.com as their ISP. As I
understand it, it
will be changed Oct l over to prodigy.net....and I believe that most of
them have already
been changed, but just wanted to be sure and catch them all.
I wasn't very clear in my note. I apologize for the confusion.

Hi everyone
I've been subscribed for a while, but this is my first post.
My Chapman interests are all in north west Wiltshire (with minor
deviations into Gloucestershire).
Firstly: One of my 4 x great grandmothers was a Mary Ann CHAPMAN. She
was baptised in Sherston Magna WIL on 17 Jun 1796, daughter of Thomas
CHAPMAN and Mary DEVERELL. I have traced her ancestry back another
couple of generations with reasonable certainty, and a further 3 with
some uncertainty!
Secondly: One of my 6 x great grandmothers was a J(e)ane CHAPMAN. She
was born in Biddestone 10 Feb 1711 to Quaker parents Lawrence CHAPMAN
and Sarah BUTLER. Lawrence's father was a John CHAPMAN born c1679.
John and Lawrence both left helpful wills, but I haven't been able to
get any further back.
Thirdly: Not ancestors, but I also have information about the
CHAPMANs of Littleton Drew pre 1700. Names here include Katherine
(born c1670), Robert, Hester, John etc.
Further information willingly given or received!

Hi everyone:
My name is Jennifer Spencer. I live in Sherwood Park, Alberta, Canada.
I was born in England but have lived in Canada since 4 years old. I am
researching my mother's side of the family "Chapman". I am back to my
great grandfather Edwin Chapman - born abt. 1829 in Kensington, Surrey,
married Jane Elizabeth Vincent, born abt. 1833 in Brixton, Surrey. I
believe they had 15 children (can you believe it). One was my
grandfather Septimus David Chapman born June 28, 1871, born Brixton,
Surrey, married Isabella Sarah Ann Stuart on Aug. 27, 1893 at St. John's
Church, Brixton, Surrey. Septimus died Jan. 24, 1934 and is buried in
West Norwood, London. The West Norwood and Upper Norwood areas is where
my mother grew up.
Anyone researching this Chapman line?
I heard about this mailing list from a lady at our local Family History
Centre. I didn't think it would work but it did and I'm glad.
Thanks for any help in advance.
Jennifer

Hello:
My Chapmans live in the Black Country. Grandfather Frank Herbert Chapman
(1878) married Mary Ann Hadley (1879) in Birmingham (1900). They had several
children and moved to Nova Scotia and has some more children and then moved
to West Virginia. Frank Herbert Chapman's parents were Thomas Chapman and
Emma Roberts. They were in Rowley Regis, Staffordshire, England. I am Sharon
at sillyis(a)us.hsanet.net if any of these people tie in with you.
Sorry, I'm so late posting. Been having a bit of excitement here in
Savannah, GA. I am researching my g grandfather's line. James Chapman was
born 13 Jun 1853 in Bathgate, Linlithgow, Scotland, the son of Thomas
Chapman and Agnes Davies. He immigrated to America (1870-1880?) and worked
in Pennsylvania. He later moved to Idaho where he married Millicent Holden.
They had 11 children. He died in Idaho in 1928. I have some vital
information on Thomas, but little beyond for his parents and grandparents.
Do I tie in with anyone else? Cynthia Chapman Douglas, cdougl(a)bellsouth.com

Henry Chapman (b.1762/3) married Sarah Filmer (b.1768, probably at Newnham,Kent), at St.Mary's Chatham on 24.2.1789.
He was a sawyer, and lived at New Rd.,Chatham during the 1841 census.
Sarah's ancestors have been traced back to the 14th century, but I can't
find where Henry came from. Has anyone come across him ? Peter Chapman.
Well, Jeff's been at it again. Sharing what he posted!
