Tom,
I'm Dan Chapman, administrator of the Chapman DNA
Project. I have encouraged and plan to continue
encouraging Chapman DNA tests, but concentrating on
just one per family line. There are several companies
doing the testing and I haven't kept up with the
details of each one. Most of the Chapman DNA testing
has been done by Family Tree DNA, but I don't want to
discourage anyone interested in using another company.
My test is for 37 markers and have one Chapman
matching me on just the first 12 - not one match on 25
markers with any surname. I'm expecting someone at
the California conference to describe a genealogical
breakthrough based on a DNA test. One Chapman has
ordered the new 57 marker test.
Sorry we won't see you at San Jose.

meeting in CA.>>
I'm not going to be able to attend that meeting, but
I hope somebody will make a pointed effort to
encourage Chapman DNA testing. Make flyer or
something with directions and information.
Tom
