Marvin--Check the following resources for your John R. Chapman: 1900 Texas
Census Soundex for Bell Co, Bell Co Tax Rolls --most likely he paid his poll
tax even if he owned no property, and if he died in 1900 there's an outside
chance an obituary or death notice can be found in old newspapers. Just
suggestions. James

Chapman, born 1829 in Kentucky. I have been looking for 4-5 years without
