Giles Chapman used mostly biblical names, also. And and so did each
generation after him. In addition, brothers named sons after their
brothers, etc. etc. Figuring them out is mind-boggling. James

Hi James,
On Richard Chapman and his wife Mary, I do not
know where they came from. I only know when they
are found in Frederick Co. Va--c. 1730/40's. As their
being Quakers, again, I don't think so, although one Chapman
in my line "swears" by this, and whom I have disagreed with
on his work. -------- but---their sons are almost all named
with biblical names---Daniel, Sampson, Job etc. down to
my "Edward" (got slipped in somehow) .-- I keep my mind
open to any clues.
